HOLIDAYS ARE HELL
This holiday, spend quality time with family and loved ones - living and dead . . .
There's no place like home for the horrordays - unless you'd prefer a romantic midnight walk through a ghost-infested graveyard . . . or a haunted house candlight dinner with the sexy vampire of your dreams. The (black) magical season is here - and whether it's a solstice seance gone demonically wrong with the incomparable KIM HARRISON, a grossly misshapen Christmas with the remarkable LYNSAY SANDS, a blood-chilling-and-spilling New year's with the wonderful MARJORIE M. LIU, or a super-powered Thanksgiving with the phenomenal VICKI PETTERSSON, one thing is for certain: in the able hands of these exceptional dark side explorers, the holidays are going to be deliciously hellish!
"Two Ghosts for Sister Rachel" by Kim Harrison
Having only read the first book in the Hollows series, I was relieved to discover that there were no serious spoilers in this stories. Rachel has not yet even applied for a position with the I.S. This is the story of how Rachel comes to the decision to send in her application. B+
"Run, Run Rudolph" by Lynsay Sands
Lynsay Sands is another author of whom I have only read one other story - a short story from the Bitten by Cupid anthology - and as such I am not sure if this story ties in with her Argneau Vampires series. (I really need to start that series soon!) In this story, the main character, Jill, is being chased by a mad scientist who wants to study her shape-shifting abilities. Jill must rely on her instincts, as well as her very sexy friend Nick, if she's going to survive the day. A-
"Six" by Marjorie M. Liu
